The Georgia Herpetological Society holds regular events to bring its members together to share ideas and research. In addition to these formal events, the society also has one annual conference that is open to the public to raise awareness about the specific reptiles and amphibians that live in the state of Georgia.
Usually occurring sometime in the fall, the Georgia Reptile and Amphibians Expo lets the public see the work of the organization and learn more about the various species. The society is possible due to sponsorship by the Outdoor Interpretive Office that is part of the Gwinnett County Parks and Recreation Division.
